Gateway P series FX gaming notebooks updated

Gateway gave updates to their P series FX gaming notebooks today that provide models that are cheaper for consumers. While the updates weren’t trumpeted out with fanfare, they are still important to note.

First up is the P-7809u, a 17-inch notebook with a Montevina 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processor, a 500GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM. Pricing is expected to be around $1,250 though a release date is not yet known.

Also receiving an update was the P-7807u, which possesses a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, a 320GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM. We don’t have a release date for this one, either, but the price is expected to be $1,100.
