Archos 5 to get Android 1.6 update

Folks who own the Archos 5 device will be pleased to know that a full OS update to Android 1.6 (aka Donut) has been released. Too bad there aren’t any groundbreaking changes with no Android markeplace support in sight, although that can be remedied with but a hack which will most probably happen in the near future. Initial problems reported by users who have made the 1.6 update include the device turning itself off randomly, while being stubborn to not pick up a previously connected Wi-Fi network among others. Sounds pretty serious which most poeple would deem it as unfit for an actual release. Could it have been rushed to the market?
