It seems that evidence of the PS3 Motion Controller being called the Arc has gained some credibility, as Sony has just registered the domain PlayStationArc.com. The Arc (if that’s what it will be named) is st to be released this fall, and will be able to track free-air movements, allowing users to interact better with video games. Rumors indicate that the controller will be shipping with every PS3 console along with a traditional DualShock game pad. Will this be a good move to combat the popularity of Nintendo’s Wii? It’s hard to tell how well the response will be, but it’ll certainly be an interesting battle, and one we’re looking forward to see. On a related note, Sony has held a press conference in Japan, showing off a new accessory for the PS3, the Torne. This device will allow users to view and record terrestrial digital broadcasts. It’s certainly a nice feature, though we’re still more hyped up over the Arc for the console, wouldn’t you agree?
