Will AT&T Lose Its iPhone Exclusivity This Week?

Could the day where AT&T loses its iPhone exclusivity be around the corner? There aren’t any concrete reports on it yet (there never are), but it’s speculated that AT&T will be losing its iPhone exclusivity during Apple’s big announcement this week. While it would certainly be bad news for AT&T, users who have been thinking of getting an iPhone but didn’t want to subscribe to AT&T will certainly be rejoicing. Considering that the iPhone isn’t exclusive over in France, and that seems to be helping sales, this is certainly going to be an interesting move from Apple. Carriers will certainly clamor for this phone, but the smart money would probably be on Verizon Wireless, considering the numerous rumors linking a new iPhone to Verizon. The only thing that could make the deal sweeter would be if Steve Jobs would announce a new iPhone along with the Apple tablet this week. That would really be Christmas come early, eh?
