Nokia Siemens Networks Hits The 100Mbps Peak Speed Of LTE

Nokia Siemens Networks and LG have managed to hit the 100Mbps peak speed of the current generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless technology. This was achieved by using a pre-release 4G USB modem, and a production level Nokia Siemens network node running on the 2.1GHz and 2.6GHz bands. Of course, real world usage would vary quite a bit, as you’ll need to factor in stuff like distance, number of users and many others. If you’re talking about the US, then the number of users will probably play a big factor in your being able to hit your top speed (or not). Are you eager for this technology to be rolled out, or are you happy with what you’ve currently got?
