You probably wouldn’t be dreaming of doing spreadsheets and preparing presentations on the iPad, after all, who would want to do work when you could have so much fun, right? But if you’re insistent on doing some work, the updated iWork for the iPad is looking great, and you could even call it cool. You’ve got new version of Keynote (presentation), Pages (word processor), and Numbers (spreadsheet), all which integrate very nicely on the iPad.
A demo on Keynote showed us all how easy it is to move and slide thumbnails around, and you can even move multiple slides (thanks to the magic of multi-touch).
Navigating Pages seems to a breeze. The Page Navigator in particular seems to be very useful for scrolling between different pages.
Numbers seems to have a dedicated keyboard just for numeric entry, which certainly would make sense, since you’re going to be crunching numbers on this app. Pop up menus seem to be used fairly often.
