Netflix not offering iPad streaming anytime soon

We know an instrument that Apple CEO Steve Jobs loves playing, the trumpet. After all, he blew it pretty well at the iPad’s announcement, dubbing it the “best device” for watching mobile video. Sorry to burst his bubble, but Netflix’s subscription-based streaming is not going to hit the iPad anytime soon, let alone the other portable devices from Apple. According to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, the company isn’t using any of its resources on an app that will provide users with access to its generous library of “Watch Instantly” content to Apple mobile devices, with the iPad included, since they are more focused on larger screens. Before they ever move over to mobile devices with smaller displays, they are targeting the TV and Blu-ray markets first. What do you think – their loss, or Apple’s?
