BenQ V2220 Is The Slimmest LCD In The World

BenQ Sports The Slimmest LCD In The World

BenQ certainly looks like it wants to stay ahead of the pack when it comes to display technology, and with its flagship V2220, it might just have something to fend off its rivals. The 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio looks flashy on paper, but most people wouldn’t care too much about it, as the most noticeable feature of this display is really its 15mm thickness, helping it boast that it’s the thinnest 21.5 monitor around. If you want HDMI, the H variants will support HDMI and headphone connection options. With its 1920 x 1080 resolution, 250 nits of brightness, 1000:1 real contrast ratio and 5ms response time, it certainly looks like BenQ has a winner on its hands. This display will be launched in Taiwan within the next few months, and will be available globally in June.

It is the end of another era at NASA, although this one was perhaps more inevitable than others. Chief Information Officer Linda Cureton announced in a blog post over the weekend that the agency's last mainframe computer was shut down this month, marking an end to decades of room-filling computers. Needless to say, that last mainframe was considerably newer than that pictured above.… »
