SK Telecom unveils Android SIM card prototype

MWC 2010 was the platform where SK Telecom unveiled the first Wireless LAN SIM card which works best with Android-powered smartphones. After all, this SIM card will use Telenor’s built-in Wi-Fi module in order to make your device function like a mobile hotspot, enabling computers as well as other compatible devices to hook up to the Internet through itself and the handset’s wireless connection. No idea on when such a SIM card will see action anytime soon, but we’re guessing that South Korea might just be the first country to do so.
