Mention video game consoles and you will most probably be faced with just a trio of answers – the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3. Well, think again – the Swinxs gaming console is now available Stateside despite it being announced a good two years back, having launched in Europe last year. The Swinxs is touted to offer hours of recreational entertainment through the use of lights and a built-in voice which will explain the game while recognizing players and doubling up as a referee. Since it is screen-free, you won’t have to worry about not owning a TV in your living room. Capable of accommodating up to 10 players while featuring 26 games to keep your little ones entertained, it would certainly be interesting to see how the $150 Swinxs fares in the long run against its technologically superior rivals.
