Skype for Windows Mobile killed off

Skype for Windows Mobile has been discontinued simply because of a subpar user experience when compared to the iPhone and Symbian version. According to Skype, “Our focus is on providing a rich user experience that allows you to enjoy free Skype-to-Skype and low cost calls as easily on the move as you do at your desktop. We felt that Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile were not offering the best possible Skype experience.” Guess this means those who want to install Skype for Windows Mobile won’t be able to do so, but folks who have already done so can continue using it. Could we be looking at a Windows Phone 7 series later next year?
