Gigabyte Q1000C and M1000 series netbooks

Gigabyte isn’t quite done with the netbook market just yet, having introduced yet another two more models to their expanding family – the Q1000C and M1000 series netbooks. The latter will be powered by an Intel Atom N470 1.83GHz processor, sporting a HD widescreen display at 1,366 x 768 resolution and a 6-cell battery. Basically, the M1000 seems to be an updated version of its Gigabyte Booktop M1022. As for the Q1000C, this netbook has a slower Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, a lower resolution 10.1″ display at 1,024 x 600 pixels, a small touchpad, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, VGA and Ethernet jacks. No word on pricing for either though.

Needless to say, that last mainframe was considerably newer than that pictured above.… »

You wouldn't understand it by the never ending barrage of black PowerBook's through the '90s, and even the onyx MacBooks within the mid-00s, but dark-clad machines from Apple were typically non-existant until Cupertino got fascinated about laptops, excluding in fact the ill-fated Macintosh TV.
