The long wait for a toilet speaker is over

A tiny speaker shaped like a toilet may already exist but the thought of searching Google for “USB Toilet Speaker” just makes me want to crawl back into bed. It’d be a new low for my career. Oh, who am I kidding? I just searched and it already exists. In several colors, even.

In case you haven’t seen one before, here is a USB powered speaker shaped like a toilet. It features a “toilet shaped design,” if you can believe it! There’s even a rechargeable lithium ion battery, just in case you want to take your toilet speaker along with you to the various locations frequented by the kinds of people who own toilet speakers.

Audio is handled via line-in jack. Apparently the USB connection just powers the thing. It doesn’t turn it into a USB sound card. Maybe it does. We’re really over thinking this.

Yours for $12 at USB Geek.

Researchers on the University of Manitoba have managed to coach the previous RoboCup … »

It is the end of another era at NASA, although this one was perhaps more inevitable than others. Chief Information Officer Linda Cureton announced in a blog post over the weekend that the agency's last mainframe computer was shut down this month, marking an end to decades of room-filling computers. Needless to say, that last mainframe was considerably newer than that pictured above.… »
