Google Maps Adds Biking Directions

Google Maps is certainly one of the more useful tools around the Internet, and now it seems that Google has improved it by adding biking directions to Google Maps for the US. Considering the number of bikers around, it looks like this feature is going to be warmly welcomed. One of the best things about bike support in Google Maps is that it can avoid hills, provide efficient routes, allow riders to customize trips, make use of bike lanes and calculate rider-friendly routes. The time estimate for the route is based on some complex calculations taking into account the type of road, terrain, and turns over the course of your trip.
