ODROID Gets The Android 2.1 Treatment

You might already have caught wind of the ODROID when we mentioned it some time ago, but in case you missed it, this device by Hardkernel is described as an entertainment device with a focus on gaming. While it was previously shipping with Android 1.5, it seems that the device will be getting the Android 2.1 update pretty soon. Considering that Android 1.5 is starting to feel more than a little old, this is certainly good news for folks who are interested in the ODROID. Specifications of the ODROID include:

  • 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen
  • 320×480 pixel resolution
  • Samsung S5Pc100(CPU) based on ARM cortex A8
  • HDMI out, supports video output at 720p
  • microSD and SD memory card support
  • Wi-Fi
