Samsung To Launch 4 New Windows Mobile Devices In The Summer

Word is going around that Samsung is gearing up to release 4 interesting Windows Mobile devices this summer, and the Korean company is currently locked in talks with Microsoft to make these devices officially upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series in January 2011. If the deal goes through, the new Samsung Windows Phone Starter Pack devices, along with the upgrade path to Windows Phone 7 Series will be announced at the same time. Apparently these devices will be the most powerful Windows Mobile devices on the market when launched, trouncing HTC’s HD2. Also part of this news is that one of the devices will sport a 4-inch super-AMOLED display with HD video support. Sounds juicy, doesn’t it? To make the deal even sweeter, it seems that Samsung will also be launching four new Android-powered phones with more or less the same specifications as the Windows Mobile phones mentioned.

We just came from Hasbro's off-site Toy Fair show room and, keep in mind that, we made them take us straight to the NERF Lazer Tag installation. The guns are still clearly within the early prototype stages and handcrafted -- with numerous hot glue and header pins serving as evidence. Still, they felt solid and the app seems to be coming along nicely. We weren't allowed to take… »
