Quake Catcher Network needs your help

With so much news of earthquakes occuring each day, why not help out in the cause to detect those underground “bombs” before they are triggered? That’s the case with the Quake Catcher Network which relies on laptops with a built-in accelerometer, where it will transmit data about earthquakes to researchers at UC Riverside and Stanford University. If you happen to own a laptop with an accelerometer, download the Quake-Catcher software program from qcn.standford.edu, where it will run whenever your computer is left idle. We personally think that this ought to see much more practical use than the SETI program.
