Transmaterial 3 Delight Cloth Is Looking Bright

This probably isn’t how we’re going to look like every time we leave our homes in the next few years, but it’s still interesting to note that Japan’s Tsuya Textile Co., has worked with the Fukui Engineering Center to develop the Delight Cloth, which is a light-emitting textile, made from superthin fiber optic strands woven into the fabric. Too bad it can’t power itself, so you’ll still need to hook it up a 100W or 150W halogen to one of both ends of the fabric. You can even add a color controller to get a variety of colors. Will the clothing of the future use this technology?
