Mitsubishi MiEVs As Taxis In Tokyo

Mitsubishi MiEVs As Taxis In Tokyo

Looks like the folks over in Japan are intent to focus on going green too, as the Hinomaru Limosine Company is adding a pair of Mitsubishi MiEVs to its fleet, becoming the first in Japan’s capitol to offer an electric vehicle for hire. If you do manage to catch a ride in one of these, the rate will be 710 yen ($7.80) for the first two kilometers, which is the same rate as the company’s other taxis. While it might sound sexist, these taxis will apparently be driven by women, and will be able to provide their customers with local area and tourist information. There will also be a pleasant aromatic oil to help you relax. It’s certainly an interesting taxi service that they’re providing over there, isn’t it?
