Automatic rain barrel watering system

Folks who own pets as well as have a healthy number of plants in their home will definitely have to think twice before they take a long break away from home, as there is the issue of making sure your pet is well taken care of, not to mention the plants get their daily amount of water. Well, Dmritard96 decided to rely less on good neighbors which are a rarity these days, and went ahead to build this automated watering system which relies on rain barrelsto capture and store rainwater. These barrels offer very low water pressure, so a battery-powered pump helps move things along a bit, with a solar array for recharging purposes. Whenever the barrel runs dry, a float sensor will switch the system to your home piping to make sure there is the presence of digital green fingers even when you are away. Neat, no?
