Mention netbooks and chances are you would be much more familiar with names like Asus and their line of Eee PCs alongside Dell’s Inspiron Mini range and the HP Mini family. Well, Elite Computer Systems (ECS) is no stranger to the netbook arena, although we do admit they are pretty far from being on everybody’s lips at first mention. Word has it that ECS is working on a new E11IS2 netbook that will be powered by Intel’s latest Atom Pine Trail processor, accompanied by a 10.1″ anti-glare display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, wireless broadband support, WiMAX/HSUPA 3G card compatibility, with Windows 7 as the operating system of choice. Expect ECS to show off the E11IS2 at the Intel Solution Summit in Dubai this month April.
