The Xbox 360 system update that makes USB storage a possibility is now available, letting you delve into the world of non-proprietary storage options. Unfortunately, Microsoft being Microsoft, has laid down some rather draconian rules such as the USB device needs to be more than 1GB in capacity, although it can only make use of 16GB of available space. It takes around five minutes to get the update done and over with on a standard cable connection. If you’re feeling flush, the update will also come on a specially branded 16GB Xbox 360 USB stick that will hit the market later this May.
