New Dual Core Atom Chip For Netbooks On The Way

Intel’s CEO, Paul Otellini, has confirmed that the chip giant will soon be rolling out a new dual-core Atom processor for netbooks sometime in the next few months. Rumors regarding a new dual-core Atom processor for netbooks have been going around for some time now, and it shouldn’t be too hard for Intel, considering that it already has dual-core Atom processors for nettops, though netbooks have been confined to single-core Atoms so far. Hopefully the dual-core versions for netbooks will still go easy on the notebook’s battery life.
