Palm Pre Gets An Unofficial SIM Unlock

If you can’t bear to wait for the Palm Pre Plus from AT, you could always do a permanent SIM unlock for the original Palm Pre. It’s not an official unlock, so you should tread carefully when trying such things, but the folks over at jictechnology have come up with a solution that they claim works, though you’ll have to shell out £25 ($38) for the solution. You might want to check out some of the feedback provided from users who have gone through the process, just to be sure that you want to do it.
