It seems that every major manufacturer out there is scrambling to get 3D displays out the door and now Toshiba Mobile Display has announced that it has been busy working to bring glasses-free 3D technology to large display panels. The multi-parallax technique used by Toshiba promises to reduce eye fatigue while providing a 30 degree horizontal viewing angle. The display offers a 1280 x 800 resolution at 480 nits of brightness which isn’t too bad, considering that the 9-parallax implementation used by Toshiba required 9 separate images to be generated, requiring an ultra high definition LCD module.
