LG Innotek to supply iPhone 4G with 5-megapixel camera sensors

LG Innotek is the supplier behind the 5-megapixel camera sensor that will see action in the upcoming iPhone 4G that is touted to ship later this spring. According to The Chosun, LG Innotek will begin “producing the sophisticated cameras at its plant in Gumi this month and will mass produce them starting in the second half of this year.” Of course, there were whispers in the past concerning OmniVision as the supplier of cameras instead, but at least we do know a 5-megapixel camera is in the works alongside a built-in LED flash to capture better quality images in low light conditions.
