Lala Shutting Down On May 31st

After Apple’s acquisition of Lala, many speculated that it was only a matter of time before the service would be shutdown, and the fateful announcement is now out of the bag. Come May 31st, Lala will be stopping its music-streaming service, and no new users will be accepted. The good news for existing users is that the money that was spent purchasing streaming music will be converted into iTunes credit, which does seem like a generous move. Wallet balances and unredeemed gift cards can also be converted, though you can request to get a refund via check for these. What do you think Apple will be planning to do with Lala? Could it be something related to iTunes and cloud storage or music streaming?
