Targus Recalls Half A Million Laptop Power Adapters Due To Overheating

Good news and bad news folks. The bad news is that Targus has just issued a product recall for half a million units of its adapters, made by Comarco Inc. The recall involves Targus’ universal laptop power adapter with interchangeable tips. Apparently they can overheat and pose a burn hazard to folks who try to unplug it. So far there have been a good 500 odd reports of connector tips overheating and 8 cases of consumers being hurt. The good news is that if you get in touch with Comarco you’ll get a free replacement, so you shouldn’t have to worry about this issue after getting your replacement.
