Lenovo IdeaCentre B305 hits the mainstream all-in-one computer market

Lenovo’s new IdeaCentre B305 will also follow in the footsteps of the IdeaCentre A700, where it comes with touchscreen capability which shows the company is serious about keeping up with the times. Something tells me that if this ever makes it as a family computer in the living room, be well prepared to get ready boxes of wet tissues to make sure that the display remains fingerprint-free or grime-free before visitors drop by. Kids could very well smear ketchup all over your display for all you know, but that’s the price to pay for curiousity, eh? The IdeaCentre B305 will sing along to the tune of an AMD Athlon II X4 Quad-Core processor when maxed out, as it sports a 21.5″ widescreen display, Full HD resolution video playback capability and optional DirectX 11 graphics. You will also get integrated high-speed 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity as well as Lenovo Rescue System software to quickly and easily recover data if a document is lost or becomes corrupt. Sounds like a decent family computer as it arrives early next month onwards from $699 and above, depending on what else you want to cram in. Why not make this your first PC?

We just came from Hasbro's off-site Toy Fair show room and, keep in mind that, we made them take us straight to the NERF Lazer Tag installation. The guns are still clearly within the early prototype stages and handcrafted -- with numerous hot glue and header pins serving as evidence. Still, they felt solid and the app seems to be coming along nicely. We weren't allowed to take… »
