Garmin 295W GPS Navigator Looks Very Much Like A Mobile Phone

You probably haven’t heard of the Garmin nuvi 295W before, and this device seems to have taken everybody by surprise. Looking very much like a Garminfone, it offers a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that can auto-rotate between portrait or landscape mode, making it suitable for use in the car, or while walking around town. The inclusion of a 3-megapixel camera allows you to take geotagged photos. Thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi, you’re also able to perform Google Local Search queries and even upload the geotagged photos that you just took. It’s going for $280 and will be available on May 16th, just a few days off. In case you’re still scratching your head wondering, no, it’s not a mobile phone. Video after the break.

We just came from Hasbro's off-site Toy Fair show room and, keep in mind that, we made them take us straight to the NERF Lazer Tag installation. The guns are still clearly within the early prototype stages and handcrafted -- with numerous hot glue and header pins serving as evidence. Still, they felt solid and the app seems to be coming along nicely. We weren't allowed to take… »
