N-trig ready to rock and roll with four-fingered multitouch gestures

Just when you thought that two-fingered multitouch gestures were the bomb, along comes N-trig that doubles the amount of fingers required to get your user interface rocking. Just in case you were wondering what kind of credentials N-trig has, this is the company that rolled out touchscreen displays for a select bunch of early touchscreen-enabled notebooks back inthe day. Apart from four-fingered multitouch gestures, you can also make full use of two fingers on one hand while using a single finger on the other – if all else fails, pen input is supported, especially for folks who prefer something old school. While N-trig is not the first in the industry to offer four-fingered multitouch, it has a slew of new and exciting gestures available to cater to actions like copy, cut, text highlighting and scrolling through open windows. Right now, it seems that these gestures apply only to Windows 7-powered devices, but the future could see it extend to other operating systems like Android if discussions go well. How many fingers do you think are enough where multitouch gestures are concerned?
