Mini Robocue helps scoop humans out of dangerous situations

Kikuchi Manufacturing has their Mini Robocue rescue robot that will scoop humans out from various situations where it might not be worth to risk another human life under certain circumstances when it comes to a rescue operation, and is a much smaller version of its predecessor that was unveiled sometime last year. This second generation robot tips the scales at just 350kg, but boasts improved mobility courtesy of its independent front and back tank treads, letting it increase its turning circle while enabling it to swivel in place. This lets the Mini Robocue climb steps inside of a building while being able to turn when it reaches a landing. Anyone rescued will be loaded onto the conveyor belt that will scoop them up into safety of it’s body, but it does have a weight limit so it pays to keep your body lean and trim – perhaps with the Rowing Machine for Wii? Expect the Min Robocue to go for around $16,000 each. Hopefully it is able to tell whether the human it is scooping suffers from any broken bones and need to be left alone…
