With all the momentum that is behind Google’s Android OS, sometimes it’s easy to forget that Microsoft is busy working on its Windows Phone 7 (WP7). The upcoming mobile OS was previously demonstrated on an LG Panther; now the device has been showcased again, demonstrating the latest build of WP7. According to reports, WP7 was running smoothly on the device, though it would have been nice if the touchscreen display were a little more responsive. If everything progresses according to plan, it’s likely that the LG Panther will be one of the first WP7 devices to be launched in Q4 this year, along with offerings by HTC and Samsung. From the demo, while the OS wasn’t fully functional yet, Facebook integration was described as intuitive and seamless, words that we always love to hear. Are you looking forward to Windows Phone 7, or have you already been swayed by Google’s Android?
