Nokia has rolled out the latest 1.2 firmware update for the N900 device, where it will offer a whole lot of changes that have been in waiting for so long by the Maemo user community. Expect a slew of features including Portrait mode in the browser, Facebook IM support, email fixes, Skype video calling, improvements in the Maps user interface and a bunch of other changes. Folks in the UK should have gotten theirs today already, while the rest of the world will just have to wait until tomorrow. Just make sure you make a backup of all your important data before performing the firmware update as you can never tell when something might just go wrong.
