myTouch 3G Slide to get Android 2.2 from next week onwards

While news of you placing a pre-order for the myTouch 3G Slide on Walmart is still hot off the press, along comes confirmation from a T-Mobile employee (hopefully he/she is trustworthy) that the Android 2.2 update will roll out as early as next week, with T-Mobile employee phones receiving it first for testing purposes. We think that the average man on the street will definitely have to wait a whole lot longer since the FroYo code has just been sent out to OEMs and the Nexus One has yet to receive a proper update, it would be extremely surprising to see the myTouch 3G Slide get FroYo before all the other models.
