Acer Stream unveiled officially

Acer has finally unveiled the Acer Stream Android-powered smartphone officially, where we know that the Liquid Stream has already passed the FCC’s scrutiny. From the get go, you will get Android 2.1 (Eclair) right out of the box, where it will run on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, alongside a 3.7″ WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, 512MB RAM, 2GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot and a customized Acer user interface. For those who want to capture their favorite moments, there is always the 5-megapixel camera that doubles up as a 720p HD video camcorder. Once you’re done immortalizing your memories digitally, why not play it back over a HDTV by hooking up the Acer Stream to it using its HDMI port? To round it off, GPS navigation, UPnP and DLNA compliance are also thrown into the chassis which measures no more than 11.2mm thick. There is still no word on pricing or availability, but this is where a key virtue comes into play – yes, we’re talking about patience. We do hope that the Android 2.2 update will be released for it sooner rather than later.
