Iota Flex To Grant Your Android Device Calling And Texting Capabilities

There are so many Android-powered devices on the market nowadays, but many of them such as eBook readers, tablet devices and photo frames to name a few, don’t have mobile phone functionalities. Given a choice, would you want your Android-powered device to be able to make phone calls? The folks over at Iota are trying to offer you just that, with its gadget called Flex. This device, which can be easily hung around your bag, aims to provide voice and text capabilities to Android tablets, eBook readers and netbooks via Bluetooth. It’s currently still in the early stages of development, but the company is planning to sell the device for under $100 when it’s released, and will only cost you $40/month for unlimited calling and texting thanks to their partnership with Simple Mobile. Seems like a pretty cool concept, and we look forward to seeing how it’ll perform in a real-world scenario.
