NEC Casio Mobile Communications To Bring Cool Phones To The US?

You may have noticed that NEC, Hitachi and Casio previously banded together to form a new company, dubbed NEC Casio Mobile Communications, becoming Japan’s second largest manufacturer after Sharp. Now the company has announced some of its rather ambitious expansion plans. According to reports, NEC Casio Mobile is planning to ship a good 12 million cell phones in 2012, an increase of 60 percent of all cell phones that NEC, Hitachi and Casio shipped together in 2009. The interesting bit is that the company is apparently looking into building business relationships with Verizon and AT&T, and we hope that means that we’ll finally be getting some of those super cool phones that we always see in Japan. What kind of cell phones can you envision coming from this company?
