LG has demonstrated a 15″ display that almost reaches a level of practicality that would make it suitable for real-world use. Why do I say “almost”? Well, the 1366×768 resolution falls a little short of what would be expected today. The 1440×900 resolution available on the Macbook Pro 15″ is already too low in my opinion, and 1680×1050 pixels would actually be a great goal for 15″ OLED displays to achieve before they are used in real world conditions.
This monitor has a great contrast, but the Sony prototype that we mentioned earlier can reproduce much more colors, at least that’s what the specifications indicate. To be fair, the LG display is not bad, but the Sony seems great.
