Picture Of Samsung's Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablet Surfaces

Looks like the folks over at Samsung have also caught the tablet fever as the company’s official South African Twitter account has revealed a picture of a Samsung tablet, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Tab, sitting comfortably next to the Samsung Galaxy S. Details of this device weren’t mentioned, but we do know that it’s running Android 2.1 with the latest TouchWiz interface, offering a 7-inch display, 3.5mm headphone jack and a front-facing camera. The strange thing is that there seems to be a “Phone” icon sitting at the left bottom corner of the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s display, now what could that mean? Perhaps it’s just running an early version of the software. Word is that Samsung is actually working on three Android tablets that are to be launched this year, the first being the 7-inch model pictured here, followed by an 8-inch device in October, and finally a 10-inch device in December. Will it mount a good challenge against Apple’s iPad?
