Wii Sports can be quite fun – just take a look at the phenomenal sales figures to date for the gaming title and tell us it isn’t so. Well, a video game research project at the University of Nevada, Reno, is working on a Wii Sports-inspired PC game which can be played by the blind. That’s right, the couple of games in the VI Fit line will work in a similar vein as with Wii Sports, mimicking their respective sports via the use of the Wii remote. Instead of using visual cues, one will hear and feel the games through use of sound and vibrotactile cues, thanks to the Wiimote’s speaker and vibration function. Interesting – best of all is, VI Fit is free to play!
