Toshiba Dynabook TX/98MBL does Blu-ray 3D

Stereoscopic 3D seems to be all the rage these days, and the Toshiba Dynabook TX/98MBL is the first notebook in the industry to offer 3D playback in the Blu-ray 3D format. Of course, such neat technology will hit Japan first at the end of next month before Toshiba decides whether to roll it out elsewhere or not. Make sure you keep your fingers crossed for a Stateside rollout! Each purchase will come with a pair of wireless 3D active shutter glasses, but that means only you will be able to enjoy 3D movies at the moment in Full HD, unless you purchase another pair elsewhere. Other specifications are in the extended post – this seems to be a business notebook with 3D Blu-ray playback as a novelty. [Press Release]
