OLPC XO 1.5 offers optional Sugar OS interface

The Sugar OS interface was originally meant to make the use of the OLPC XO laptop easy to use, it isn’t something that most folks are used to the moment they turn on said laptop. After all, there is a very good reason for this – the OLPC XO laptop targets those who reside in developing nations, and probably have not touched a computer before. As for the rest of the world, the Sugar OS interface might be confusing, which is why the OLPC folks will ship the XO 1.5 laptop with the option to switch between the Sugar OS and a full GNOME Desktop, where the latter is much closer to what one discovers on a Linux distribution such as Ubuntu.
