YouTube Video Editor is cloud-based

Cloud computing is certainly catching up with normal local applications on your desktop and notebook, but there are still some concerns about the model, especially data security and availability of service when you need it the most. YouTube, the insanely popular video sharing website, has just introduced a new YouTube Video Editor. This is a bare bones piece of software, so don’t expect it to hold its own against the likes of Final Cut Pro or Premiere, although there is enough oomph within to make it possible to edit a video online to make it decent enough for public consumption, thanks to a simple and intuitive user interface. Will the next Steven Spielberg be unearthed via a YouTube Video Editor contest?
