The former is an entry-level priced headset that the company claims is packed with outstanding sound quality and functionality, while the 5xb is touted as a premium headset, with refined gaming audio designed for both comfort and convenience. The 5xb sports a durable double-braided nylon cord and can be dismantled into three separate parts, at the headband and at each earcup, making it easy to transport. Both headsets offer large XL-sized, ear cushions to make the experience a pleasant one. Benefits of these new headsets include easy access to independent audio and voice controls and SteelSeries LiveMix that offers players a quick-button option to improve the balance and mixing of Xbox LIVE chat and in-game audio, so you’ll be able to enjoy your gaming experience while still being able to hear the warnings that your friend is yelling. Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but the SteelSeries Spectrum line will be going on sale in Q3 this year.
