Additional Google Music Service Details Leaked

Additional details on Google’s upcoming music service have surfaced. According to the latest information, the service would offer a web store where users will be able to purchase and download tracks. It’ll be tied directly to Google’s search engine, allowing people to google for a particular group or song, and be served with a link to the company’s music store. This is seen as more of an interim step towards a more interesting cloud-based service, one that would allow subscribers to stream music directly from the Internet to their mobile devices, without having to store the music on the device itself. The introduction of such a store is not expected to occur for the next few months, but when it does, it would go some way to improve Android’s media capabilities, helping it mount a good challenge against the iPhone’s strong media integration. Are you looking forward to a music service from Google?
