Intel ships Atom D425 and D525 processors

Intel has started to ship its Atom D425 and D525 processors, where the former is a single core processor while the latter sports a dual core setup. Unlike the D410 and D510 models, these will come with an integrated DDR3 memory controller which means you can include DDR3 RAM which will be speedier compared to the DDR2 standard that netbook owners have gotten so used to all this while. Thanks to the 45nm manufacturing process technology, both of them are able to hit the 1.8GHz clock speed mark alongside 512kb and 1MB of L2 cache, respectively. Expect them to arrive in nettops and other entry level desktops in due time, but don’t hope to see them in action when it comes to high powered games.
