
Barclays Plc claims that Verizon Wireless will in all probability start to sell the iPhone from early next year onwards, where Barclays analyst James Ratcliffe claims that the introduction of the Apple iPhone could see Verizon’s subscriber gain hit 2.8 million thanks to a 900,000 boost. However, Verizon’s profit forecast was lowered for next year due to the handset subsidies that the company uses to lure customers. Once AT&T loses their monopoly on the iPhone, it will definitely be interesting to see how everything else will pan out especially in terms of market share.
