Cockroach Controlled Robot

Remote controlled robots are pretty cool, but what about a robot controlled by a giant Madagascar hissing cockroach? It might seem cruel, but maybe the roach is having the time of its life with a giant robot to control. It’s mounted at the top of the robot, and runs around on a ping-pong ball, functioning very much like a trackball, and there is an array of lights in front of it that will illuminate to indicate upcoming obstacles, which should tickle the roach’s natural aversion to light and make it move away. Check out the video after the jump, and let us know if you feel it’s creepy.
