Lexar Media has a new solid state drive which it has released under the Crucial brand name. Going by the moniker RealSSD C300, this drive sports SATA 6Gb/s support and is based on MLC NAND flash memory. Fitting into 2.5″ enclosures nicely, you get a 355MB/s read speed which ain’t too shabby at all. There is only one capacity model to choose from which stands at 64GB, where you will need to fork out $149.99 for it. A $16/GB ratio for this model should be acceptable to most people if they are looking forward to taking the SSD plunge for their computers and/or notebooks.
